Ingredients
- 1 lb beef seasoned and pressured (reserve the stock to add into the soup)
- ground provision of choice
- dumplings
- 2 small or 1 medium onion chopped
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 2 medium sized bell peppers chopped
- 3 pimento peppers chopped
- 2 medium carrots cleaned and sliced
- water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- salt to taste
- green seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cayenne or black pepper or scotch bonnet
- a pinch of sugar to balance of flavours
Instructions
- in a skillet, add oil, onion, garlic, green seasoning and peppers. mix well and allow to sautee for about 2 minutes. next add in beef and mix well. allow to sautee for about 2-3 minutes
- next add in reserved beef stock from pressuring and add some water. next add in carrots, mix well and allow to come to a boil.
- while pot is boiling, wash and peel ground provisions and cut into cubes and set aside. move on to making the dumplings and set aside
- once pot has come to a boil, add in provisions and mix. allow to come to a boil, add dumplings and seasonings and sugar. be sure to check for more addition of water and salt etc
- once cooked, remove from heat and serve with avocado on the side.
