Grenadian Peanut Butter Snow Ice is one of Grenada’s popular snack/dessert that you can find at break time, lunch and afternoon (in schools especially primary schools). Snow ice is usually made in many different flavours and is perfect for hot days.

Ingredients

  • 1 tin sweetened condensed milk (as shown in video)
  • 1 tin evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 heaping tablespoons peanut butter (more can be added if desired)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • a pinch of ground clove (1/8 teaspoon)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • a pinch of salt
  • small or medium sized plastic bags

Instructions

  • in a medium sized pot on medium high heat, add evaporated milk, peanut butter, and salt. stir until peanut butter is melted .
  • remove from heat, add condensed milk, water and essence. mix thoroughly and allow to cool completely
  • once cooled, place mixture into bags (1/4 cup at a time or more if desiring of a bigger snow ice). place in freezer preferably overnight or at least 8 hours before enjoying.
