Ingredients
- 2 cups of plain flour plus 1/4 flour on reserved to use as needed
- 2 tablespoons oat flour (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon yeast
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons shortening (optional)
- -1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- oil for frying
Instructions
- place yeast, sugar, shortening and warm water in a bowl and mix until combined. next add in the oat flour if using and give it a mix
- slowly add in flour and mix into a smooth dough. cut into small pieces and shape into balls. allow to sit for 15 mins. while dough is rising, place pan with oil on medium low heat
- once dough is risen form into circular shapes and place in preheated oil . fry until golden brown
- serve hot with any sides of choice
