Ingredients
- 1-11/2 cups split peas (depends on how thick or thin you like your soup) , pressured
- 1 lb salted pigtail or any meat of choice
- ground provisions
- 1 large onion chopped
- 4 garlic cloves chopped
- fresh basil
- fresh or dried thyme
- chives
- salt to taste
- 2 pimento peppers, minced
- corn dumplings
- water
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper/black pepper
- 1 large carrot chopped into medium sized pieces
Instructions
- in a large pot add pressured peas and pigtail. add some water and bring to a boil. next, add in the provisions, seasonings, carrot and water. give it a good stir. add in salt to taste, dried basil and cayenne pepper. be sure to check often for any additional water to added and also the flavour
- serve hot and enjoy!
