]]> Waffles are one of the go to easy recipe to try especially if you are in a rush. This Ripe Breadfruit Waffles is simply delicious and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-4 tablespoons sweetener of choice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 2 -21/2 cups milk (could be more or less)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract or essence
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or essence
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup pureed ripe breadfruit
  • 1/4-1/2 cup dried blue berry and cranberry

Instructions

  • in a large bowl, add all dry ingredients and mix well. next add in breadfruit, sweetener, milk and essences. mix until combined
  • in a preheated waffle maker, add batter 1/4 cup of a time and cook until nice and golden brown. serve with syrup of choice.
  • enjoy!
