]]> Fruits Preparation for Christmas is one of the most important step in a Caribbean household. Usually soaked in alcohol and cake wine, the flavours are divine.

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cups raisins
  • 11/2 cups currants
  • 1 cup cherries
  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 2 cups cake wine
  • 2 tablespoons alcohol (can be omitted or more can be added based on liking)

Instructions

  • to a blender, add in all fruits, wine and alcohol. blend to liking. pour into a tightly fitted jar and store in fridge until ready for use.

*side note: you can occasionally add alcohol throughout the length of time the fruits are soaking until use (that is if you like your fruits with more alcohol)
