Ingredients

For the filling

• 1 cup cheese shredded
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1 teaspoon grated onion
• 1 teaspoon mustard

• mix all ingredients and set aside

• 2 cups flour
• 2 tablespoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
• 1/2-3/4 cup warm milk

Instructions

• preheat oven to 350 degrees f

• in a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and cut in the butter. next slowly add in the warm milk and mix until a smooth dough is formed. allow to rest for 45 minutes.
• on a lightly floured countertop, place dough and roll into a rectangular shape. brush some melted butter all over the dough and add the cheese mix. roll tightly, making sure to paste a bit of water around the edge and tuck in well to avoid the filling from spilling out.
• cut into desired size and place unto a baking sheet.
• brush top and sides lightly with some egg wash.
• place in preheated oven and baked until golden brown about (35-40 minutes) or until done
• remove from oven. allow to cool and serve
• enjoy!
