Ingredients
- 3 meduim green bananas or 2 large ones
- 2 cups of full fat coconut milk (i used organic)
- 21/2 cups of water
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 cinnamon sticks or 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
- 1/2 cup condensed milk or sugar (sweeten to your taste, you can also use condensed coconut milk)
- a pinch of salt (optional )
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
Instructions
- blend green bananas with the water (30 secs on a high powered blender)
- place pot on medium heat and pour in blended bananas makings sure to stir constantly to avoid lumps
- bring to a boil
- next add in coconut milk and spices. continue to stir
- once the porridge is cooked (and you will tell by the change in colour) its time to add in the condensed milk. sweeten to your taste.
- garnish with some grated nutmeg (opitional)
- service hot
